Highlands Ranch Library Book Clubs

The Circle meets the third Sunday of each month at 3 p.m.

Interested in hearing and talking about books? Join us where we share our favorite new reading recommendations and ask for yours too! Registration encouraged. Each month we'll have a different theme.

The Club meets the first Tuesday of every month from 10 - 11:30 a.m., at the Highlands Ranch Library.

Join us for lively, free-flowing discussions. All are welcome! Books discussed are chosen by the group and reflect eclectic and adventuresome interests. Douglas County Libraries currently sponsors Great Books Discussion Groups at three libraries:

Over fifty years ago, the Great Books Movement started at the University of Chicago with the idea that ordinary people could meet and discuss the enduring ideas and issues found in classic writings. The Great Books Foundation promotes reading and conversation about great literature through discussion groups.

Highlands Ranch Library

Group 1: Meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month, from 2:00 to 3:30pm.
Group 2: Meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, from 7:15 to 8:45pm.

Parker Library 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month, from 10:30am to noon.

Philip S. Miller Library 1st Monday of each month, 7:00 pm.

Book Club For First & Second Graders - Join us for this 7 week session book club and read fun chapter books. Each child who is in 1st or 2nd grade can register for one 7-week session per year. Registration for the 7 week session is required.

• Session One: August 28 - October 9
• Session Two: October 30 - December 18
• Session Three: Jan. 8 – Feb. 19, 2009.
• Session Four: March 12 – April 23, 2009.

Registration is open one month prior to the beginning of each session.

Mother/Daughter Book Club – Girls in 4th-6th Grade, bring your mothers and join us for fun activities and book discussions. Watch the calendar for dates, times and titles, or ask at the Children’s reference desk for details.

Meets the first Monday of each month at 7pm. Teens ages 12-15, are invited to bring their moms or another adult female and discuss books. Registration is required.
