Great Books Discussions
Douglas County Libraries currently sponsors Great Books Discussion Groups at three libraries:
Over fifty years ago, the Great Books Movement started at the University of Chicago with the idea that ordinary people could meet and discuss the enduring ideas and issues found in classic writings. The Great Books Foundation promotes reading and conversation about great literature through discussion groups.
Highlands Ranch Library
Group 1: Meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month, from 2:00 to 3:30pm.
Group 2: Meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, from 7:15 to 8:45pm.
Parker Library 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month, from 10:30am to noon.
Philip S. Miller Library 1st Monday of each month, 7:00 pm.

Juvenile Book Clubs--P.S. Miller Library

Junior Pageturners: 2nd Tuesday of the month, 4:15 pm. Grades 1-3. Registration required.
LAFF--Libraries are for fun! For older elementary school aged. Alternate months on Mondays, 4:30pm. Registration required.
Night Readers--P.S. Miller Library
Evening eclectic reading group meets monthy, the 2nd Tuesday at 7pm. Selections from fiction & non-fiction, poetry too!
