What could be more delightful and encouraging than practicing reading skills with a dog as your audience? Based on research that supports the benefits of the human-animal bond, this program offers a special chance to boost literacy.
Douglas County Libraries and Intermountain Therapy Dogs present...R.E.A.D (Reading Education Assistance Dogs )
* School-age children may sign up to read aloud to Dog/Person teams
* Improves literacy in a unique and fun environment
* Dog/Person teams are registered and certified through Intermountain Therapy Animals
* Advance sign-up is required.
