Shout DC is a guide for high school students to find opportunities for volunteering in Douglas County with organizations whose goals are to improve the quality of life in our county. The purpose of this directory is to provide specific contact information for Douglas County high school students to fulfill their community service requirement. At this time students must complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service to graduate. Students in the International Baccalaureate program are required to complete 150 hours of community service.

Each organization listed includes a description of types of opportunities available as well as a contact name and phone number or e-mail address. Once you find an opportunity you are interested in, contact the organization directly.

Before contacting any organization you find listed, please read our Tips For Volunteers and the Safety and Disclaimer Statement at the bottom of this page, and the community service form that is required to document completed service hours.

Organizations, please submit your information using this online form.

The Leadership Douglas County class of 2002 has produced this directory with assistance from Douglas County Libraries, The Douglas County School District and the Ponderosa SAinTs.
