Douglas County Libraries Teen Scene

Joel and Cassie have just moved in with their new stepfamily into an old, neglected house. Cassie cannot stand the “intruders” or the dump she has to call home. She liked it better when it was just her mom and Joel. Joel is willing to give the new family a chance, and hes interested in the old house. However, when he starts seeing shadows, having nightmares about being chased by a killer, and seeing bloody knives, hes not so sure. Joel learns that Tim, his younger stepbrother is having the same visions and disturbing dreams. They must convince the others that the house is haunted. After a disturbing seance, the older children are convinced that something is in the house. They decide to find out what the presence wants. Will the ghost finally rest in peace or will it destroy the house and the family in it?
